Pricing, Explained Honestly

How can I pay?

Card, EFTPOS or bank transfer, whichever's easiest on the day. You'll know the full total before we touch a single tool, because the price we quote is the price you pay. No exceptions. Nothing gets added once the job's underway.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. We come and see the job first, then give you the price before anyone lifts a tool. There's no charge for that visit, no pressure, and no obligation to go ahead. Walk away afterwards if you want to, no hard feelings.

Do nights, weekends or public holidays cost extra?

No. Tuesday lunchtime or the middle of a public holiday night, it makes no difference, the price doesn't move. We don't charge by the hour, and there's no after-hours loading hidden in the fine print. What you're quoted stands, any day of the week.

How do your quotes work?

One of our plumbers looks at the actual job, not a guess over the phone. You get one number covering the whole job, and you approve it before anything starts. If anything changes once we're into the work, we stop and talk it through first.

The Legal Side, Made Simple

Who can legally do gas work in NSW?

NSW law requires gas fitting work to be handled by a properly licensed gasfitter, full stop. It's not something to hand to a general handyman or tackle yourself on a weekend. Every gas leak repair we carry out is handled by a plumber holding the right licence for that specific work.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, on every job. We carry NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, and every job we take on is licensed and insured, here and across Woollahra and the wider eastern suburbs. Ask to see it on the day, most people do.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

Turn off the water at the meter, that's safe for almost anyone to do and it stops a burst getting worse fast. If you smell gas, don't touch anything: leave the property and call from outside. Past that, wait for us rather than reaching for a wrench yourself.

Can I check your plumbing licence?

Of course, ask and we'll give you the number on the spot. It's NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C. Look it up before we start if that puts your mind at ease, we're not precious about it.

When We Answer and When We Arrive

Do real people answer the phone, day or night?

Yes, always. Speak to a licensed plumber, not an answering machine, whether it's Sunday lunch or a public holiday at midnight. No call centre reading from a script, just someone who knows the trade picking up, 365 days a year.

What happens after I call?

We ask a few quick questions to understand the job, then get a plumber moving your way. You'll get a straight answer on timing instead of a vague window, because we work on-site fast, not on hold-music promises. Once we've had a proper look, we confirm a fixed price before any work starts.

How fast can you get here?

On-site fast is the standard we work to, on every callout. We don't do guaranteed countdowns, because real Sydney traffic doesn't run on a stopwatch. We move with genuine urgency the moment you call, every time.

How does the callback form work?

Leave your number and a quick note about the job, and we ring back fast, day or night. It's not a ticket sitting in a queue somewhere. A real person calls to talk through what's going on.

Properly Local to Rose Bay

What does heavy rain do to Rose Bay's plumbing?

Rose Bay's stormwater system serves a dense, low-lying foreshore catchment. Heavy coastal downpours can push it past capacity fast, and drains can surcharge, backing up into low-lying properties near the water. It's one of the reasons a heavy storm isn't a quiet night on call.

Which suburbs do you service?

Rose Bay is home turf, and our regular run covers Bellevue Hill, Vaucluse, Dover Heights, Double Bay and Woollahra too. Anywhere across that stretch of the eastern suburbs, give us a call.

How local are you to Rose Bay, really?

It's home turf for us, not a suburb we drive into just for the callout fee. We know the Federation homes on the ridge as well as the newer blocks near Plumer Road Shopping Village. We keep an eye on salt corrosion along foreshore fittings year-round, not just when something fails.

Do tree roots really block drains around Rose Bay?

Constantly. The suburb's leafy, established streets mean mature root systems everywhere. A lot of the older homes still run on clay sewer lines from decades ago, and roots find any crack and grow straight into the flow. It's exactly why blocked drains are one of our most common callouts here.
